Parish Administrator - 32 hrs / week 

Christ Church Cathedral is seeking a Parish Administrator to join the Cathedral staff 32 hours a week.

Job Description 

The Parish Administrator is often the first point of contact between the public, parishioners, and the Cathedral. This is a pastoral role.  It  is a key touchstone within the Cathedral organization, acting as a central point of contact and coordination between the various lay ministries and the Cathedral staff. During key moments in the liturgical year the parish administrator acts as a project manager, coordinating the various moving pieces that must come together in order for worship services and other programs to unfold smoothly. 

The Parish Administrator reports to the Dean


  • Liaise on a weekly basis with various ministries involved in Sunday worship 
  • Triage incoming requests from parishioners and the public, connecting people to the appropriate Cathedral staff or clergy
  • Coordinate Internal Communications
  • Liaise with the Diocesan Office
  • Gather and prepare paperwork required for weddings, baptisms and funerals 
  • Maintain and update the Parish Registry and Vestry Book. 
  • Maintain and update Parish Statistics
  • Maintain clergy worship rotas 
  • Prepare materials for volunteers and clergy involved in worship services 
  • Some office administration duties as required
  • Oversee Office staff volunteers
  • Attend weekly Director’s meetings 
  • Attend weekly Pastoral meetings as needed
  • Attend bi-weekly staff meetings 
  • Project managing preparations for annual Vestry meeting 
  • Maintaining an annual calendar of events requiring coordination by the Parish Administrator
  • Occasional weekends and evenings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean

  • Google suites, administrative
  • Mail Chimp, Trello or equivalent, Doodle, and other office software
  • Theological background
  • Communications Experience
