DESCRIPTION:Join us in the sanctuary of Christ Church Cathedral for a speci
 al concert showcasing the remarkable journey of one of British Columbia's 
 emerging young opera singers. At just 19\, North Vancouver soprano Keava M
 cCormack has already shared the stage with world-renowned tenor Andrea Boc
 elli\, made her professional opera debut with Vancouver Opera\, and emerge
 d as one of the University of Toronto’s promising young vocalists. Her f
 irst year at the University of Toronto exceeded expectations. She was sele
 cted to perform newly commissioned works by acclaimed composer Norbert Pal
 ej\, and she was chosen from 144 undergraduate\, master’s and doctoral v
 ocal students to perform the featured solo in the finale of the university
 ’s choral concert under internationally respected conductor Dr. Brandon 
 A. Boyd. \nMcCormack will present Whispers of a Dream on Friday\, August 
 28th\, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral. The evening will feature opera arias
 \, musical favourites and contemporary classics\, accompanied by collabora
 tive pianist and the Cathedral's Director of Music\, Dr. Neil Cockburn. \
 nAdmission is by donation\, with proceeds supporting McCormack’s continu
 ed studies in the University of Toronto’s Bachelor of Music in Opera Per
