enabling life, proclaim your care.

let peace, descending like a dove,
make known on earth your healing love.

Thanksgivings and Intercessions

Intercessor Make your ways known upon earth, O God,

All your saving power among all peoples.

Intercessor Renew your Church in holiness,

All and help us to serve you with joy.

Intercessor Guide the leaders of this and every nation,

All that justice may prevail throughout the world.

Intercessor Let not the needy, O God, be forgotten,

All nor the hope of the poor be taken away.

Intercessor Make us instruments of your peace,

All and let your glory be over all the earth.

Intercessor Creator and Redeemer, as we approach you in prayer, make us walk in beauty and
balance, make us open our hearts and minds, make us speak the truth. We pray first for
your Community, the Church, The Body of Christ. We pray for all our relatives in the
circle of life throughout all Creation; for those chosen to be our leaders and teachers.
In peace, we pray to you, Lord God, We call upon the earth, our Mother and
home, with its beautiful depths, soaring heights and deep waters, its vitality and
abundance of life, and together we ask that itAll teach us and show us the way.
Intercessor We call upon the mountains and tundra, the high green valleys and prairies filled
with wild flowers, the snows, the summits of intense silence, and we ask that they:

All teach us and show us the way.

Intercessor We call upon upon the land which grows our food, the nurturing soil, the fertile
fields, the abundant gardens and orchards, and we ask that they:

All teach us and show us the way.

Intercessor We call upon the forests, the great trees reaching strongly to the sky with earth in
their roots and the heavens in their branches, the fir and the pine, the cedar and
the maple, we ask them to:

All teach us and show us the way.

Intercessor We call upon the creatures of the fields and forests and the waters, our brothers
and sisters the wolves and deer, the eagle and bear, the great whales and the fish.
We ask them to:

All teach us and show us the way.

Intercessor We call upon all those who have lived on this earth, our ancestors and our friends,
who dreamed the best for future generations, and upon whose lives our lives are
built, and with thanksgiving, we call upon them to:

All teach us and show us the way.

Intercessor Creator, you made the world and declared it to be good: the beauty of the trees,
the softness of the air, the fragrance of the grass speaks to us; the summit of the
mountains, the thunder of the sky, the rhythm of the waters speak to us; the
faintness of the stars, the freshness of the morning, the dewdrops on the flower
speak to us. But above all, our heart soars, for you speak to us in Jesus the Christ,
in whose name we offer these prayers.

Concluding Response: Kyrie - (choir and congregation) Missa Terra Nova Rupert Lang

The Confession and Absolution
Presider Dear friends in Christ,
God is steadfast in love and infinite in mercy;
welcoming sinners and inviting us to this table.
Let us confess our sins, confident in God’s forgiveness.

Silence is kept

Presider Most merciful God,

All We confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done, and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us and forgive us,
that we may delight in your will,
and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your name. Amen.

Presider Almighty God have mercy upon you,
pardon and deliver you from all your sins,
confirm and strengthen you in all goodness,
and keep you in eternal life;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
All Amen.

Prayer over the Gifts

Presider Holy God, gracious and merciful, All you bring forth food from the earth and nourish your whole creation. Turn our hearts toward those who hunger in any way, so that all may know your care; and prepare us now to feast on the bread of life, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord. Amen.

Celebrant The Lord be with you.
People And also with you.

Celebrant Lift up your hearts.
People We lift them to the Lord.

Celebrant Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People It is right to give our thanks and praise.

Celebrant It is right to give you thanks and praise,
O Lord, our God, sustainer of the universe,
you are worthy of glory and praise.
People Glory to you for ever and ever.

Celebrant At your command all things came to be:
the vast expanse of interstellar space,
galaxies, suns, the planets in their courses,
and this fragile earth, our island home;
by your will they were created and have their being.
People Glory to you for ever and ever.

Celebrant From the primal elements
you brought forth the human race,
and blessed us with memory, reason, and skill;
you made us the stewards of creation.
People Glory to you for ever and ever.

Celebrant But we turn against you, and betray your trust; and we turn against one another.
Again and again you call us to return.
Through the prophets and sages
you reveal your righteous law.
In the fullness of time you sent your Son,
born of a woman, to be our Saviour.
He was wounded for our transgressions,
and bruised for our iniquities.
By his death he opened to us
the way of freedom and peace.
People Glory to you for ever and ever.

Celebrant Therefore we praise you,
joining with the heavenly chorus,
with prophets, apostles, and martyrs,
and with those in every generation
who have looked to you in hope,
to proclaim with them your glory,
in their unending hymn:

Sanctus        Missa Terra Nova       Rupert Lang

Celebrant Blessed are you, Lord our God,
for sending us Jesus, the Christ,
who on the night he was handed over
to suffering and death,
took bread, said the blessing,
broke the bread, gave it to his friends,
and said, “Take this, and eat it:
this is my body which is given for you.
Do this for the remembrance of me.”
In the same way, after supper,
he took the cup of wine;
he gave you thanks,
and said, “Drink this, all of you:
this is my blood of the new covenant,
which is shed for you and for many
for the forgiveness of sins.
Whenever you drink it,
do this for the remembrance of me.”
People Glory to you for ever and ever.

Celebrant Gracious God,we recall the death of your Son Jesus Christ,
we proclaim his resurrection and ascension,
and we look with expectation for his coming
as Lord of all the nations.
We who have been redeemed by him,
and made a new people by water and the Spirit,
now bring you these gifts.
Send your Holy Spirit upon us
and upon this offering of your Church,
that we who eat and drink at this holy table
may share the divine life of Christ our Lord.

People Glory to you for ever and ever.

Celebrant Pour out your Spirit upon the whole earth
and make it your new creation.
Gather your Church together
from the ends of the earth into your kingdom,
where peace and justice are revealed,
that we, with all your people,
of every language, race, and nation,
may share the banquet you have promised;
through Christ, with Christ, and in Christ,
all honour and glory are yours,
creator of all.

People Glory to you for ever and ever. Amen.
