Originally from Pikeville, Kentucky, Adam and his husband, the Rev. Adam Dawkins, moved to Vancouver from Sewanee, Tennessee. Having spent many years in Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, and Massachusetts, he is thrilled to call Vancouver home. Before joining the Cathedral staff, Adam held various positions in higher education, stewardship and development, and hospitality. Most recently, Adam served as assistant director in the advancement office at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. At Sewanee, Adam coordinated church relations and the Board of Trustees, leading efforts to increase the University’s visibility in the Episcopal Church. He also served on the development team at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre arts with a concentration in musical theatre from Liberty University and a Master of Science in arts administration with a graduate certificate in fundraising management from Boston University.
In Adam’s spare time, he enjoys discussing all things musical theatre and exploring beautiful British Columbia with his husband and their dogs–Marvin and Quincy.
