Known for his use of rich harmonies and unexpected twists and turns, Canadian composer Justin H. Bush aims to craft musical experiences that listeners will remember long after the final notes have faded away. Raised in Kemptville, Ontario and educated at Queen’s University in Kingston (BMus 2016), Justin recently traded in his snow shovel for a rain jacket to relocate to Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been incredibly fortunate to collaborate with many fantastic performers who have presented his music across North America and Japan. His composition Hope Springs Eternal was commissioned and recorded by Denise Tryon as the title track for her album of the same name.
My Role Here
I joined the Cathedral team in June 2021 as the Events Coordinator and was thrilled to accept the promotion to Director of Operations in September 2021. As the Director of Operations, I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the Cathedral building. Most notably this means working with a variety of contractors to make sure that routine maintenance and special projects are undertaken in an efficient and timely manner. When I’m not meeting with contractors, I’m busy working closely with the Parish, Building, and Events Coordinators to make sure that all internal and external users of our spaces have everything they need to make the most of their time at Christ Church Cathedral.
