Cathedral Closed for Remembrance Day
The Cathedral will be closed on Monday, November 11 in observance of the statutory holiday for Remembrance Day. We pause to remember and give thanks for those who have served and sacrificed for the cause of peace. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, November 12. |

The Cathedral’s office elves are hard at work preparing the bulletins for our sacred and busy Advent and Christmas. With this in mind, our office will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday. |

Advent Series With the Archbishop
Spend four evenings in Advent taking a journey with the pilgrim characters of the Advent season: Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, and John the Baptist. Archbishop John will offer teaching on their stories and the Prologue from the Gospel of John. The sessions will include small group discussion and use scripture, image, song, and poetry to help us deepen our own pilgrim journeys as we search for Emmanuel. This series takes place on Zoom. Godly PlayChildren's Ministry During the 10:30 AM service, children are invited to come downstairs to the Park Room for a Godly Play* lesson. They will come back upstairs and rejoin parents for communion. *Godly Play is a beautiful and thoughtful Montessori-informed approach that nurtures children's spirituality as they engage with the stories and sacraments of the church. It was developed by Dr. Jerome Berryman, an American Anglican priest. |

Unpacking Our FaithLunch and Learn Join us on Sundays at 12:30 PM in the Park Room (or the Chancel if the Park Room is booked. The Chancel is at the front of the church, near the altar). Bring your lunch or buy your lunch in between coffee hour and the start of our discussion group. Revs. Areeta and Claude will be facilitating small, informal group conversations about the Christian faith, spiritual practices, the Anglican tradition, and more. Morning PrayerEvery Weekday from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM Are you looking for a way to deepen your spiritual life? Every weekday morning at 9:30 AM the Cathedral holds Morning Prayer. We will follow a simple liturgy with a Psalm, a Reading, Prayer and Silence. This form of regular, daily prayer is used in the Anglican Communion and a number of other church denominations. All are welcome to start the day in prayer with us. Morning Prayer takes place online via Zoom. To join in, please click HERE at 9:30 AM on weekdays. |

Upper Zoom Bible Study
The weekly Upper Zoom Bible Study resumes on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. We gather online for a time of learning, reflection, and conversation about the upcoming Sunday's readings, using a method inspired by Lectio Divina. It’s a wonderful opportunity to grow in faith and connect with one another, even from the comfort of home. All are welcome to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bible) and join! Please email The Rev. Centering Prayer WorkshopA Community of Practice The Cathedral will be hosting a Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop, from 9:30 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, November 8th. Participants are invited to also attend four continuing sessions which will be held from 7 PM to 8:30 PM at the Cathedral on Tuesday Nov 18th, Nov 25th, Dec 9th and Dec 16th. The suggested cost of the workshop is $225. This includes the workshop (refreshments & lunch will be provided), community of practice continuing sessions and a paperback copy of Open Mind, Open Heart by Thomas Keating. Alongside Hope: Kenya ProjectWomen's Agricultural Partnership Alongside Hope: Anglicans and partners working for change in Canada and around the world (formerly PWRDF). Anglican Church of Canada Fund for Development and Relief. Christ Church Cathedral’s Alongside Hope Committee with Jeremiah Mwangi as CCC’s Coordinator (a committee of 8, with 5 folks from Kenya), chose this Kenya Agricultural Women’s Partnership to focus on, as an educational fundraiser at CCC from September until November. We will have a special Kenyan dessert/coffee gathering and presentation after the 10:30 AM service on November 16, 2025.
