Spend four evenings in Advent taking a journey with the pilgrim characters of the Advent season: Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, and John the Baptist. Archbishop John will offer teaching on their stories and the Prologue from the Gospel of John. The sessions will include small group discussion and use scripture, image, song, and poetry to help us deepen our own pilgrim journeys as we search for Emmanuel.

This series takes place on Zoom.

Sometimes it's difficult for men to find safe spaces in which to explore deep questions of life and spirit.

The Cathedral invites all men to join in monthly breakfasts, alternating between in-person in the church hall and virtually via Zoom. At each meeting a guest provides a spark to inspire reflection and conversation about different issues tied to what it means to be a man in the 21st century.

During the 10:30 AM service, children are invited to come downstairs to the Park Room for a Godly Play* lesson. They will come back upstairs and rejoin parents for communion. 

*Godly Play is a beautiful and thoughtful Montessori-informed approach that nurtures children's spirituality as they engage with the stories and sacraments of the church. It was developed by Dr. Jerome Berryman, an American Anglican priest. 

Join us on Sundays at 12:30 PM in the Park Room (or the Chancel if the Park Room is booked. The Chancel is at the front of the church, near the altar). Bring your lunch or buy your lunch in between coffee hour and the start of our discussion group.

Revs. Areeta and Claude will be facilitating small, informal group conversations about the Christian faith, spiritual practices, the Anglican tradition, and more. They’re always open to hearing whatever else you would like to learn more about!

Are you looking for a way to deepen your spiritual life? Every weekday morning at 9:30 AM the Cathedral holds Morning Prayer.

We will follow a simple liturgy with a Psalm, a Reading, Prayer and Silence. This form of regular, daily prayer is used in the Anglican Communion and a number of other church denominations. All are welcome to start the day in prayer with us.

Morning Prayer takes place online via Zoom. To join in, please click HERE at 9:30 AM on weekdays.

The weekly Upper Zoom Bible Study resumes on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. We gather online for a time of learning, reflection, and conversation about the upcoming Sunday's readings, using a method inspired by Lectio Divina. It’s a wonderful opportunity to grow in faith and connect with one another, even from the comfort of home.

All are welcome to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bible) and join!

The Cathedral will be hosting a Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop, from 9:30 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, November 8th. Participants are invited to also attend four continuing sessions which will be held from 7 PM to 8:30 PM at the Cathedral on Tuesday Nov 18th, Nov 25th, Dec 9th and Dec 16th.

The suggested cost of the workshop is $225. This includes the workshop (refreshments & lunch will be provided), community of practice continuing sessions and a paperback copy of Open Mind, Open Heart by Thomas Keating.

Christ Church Cathedral parishioner Jane Osler was presented the National Church’s highest lay honour, the Anglican Award of Merit, by The Most Reverend Shane Parker, Primate, at a very full 10:30 worship service on Sunday Oct. 26th, 2025.

The Rosary Ministry came into being following a Parish Council meeting in June 2025. Because many of our weekday cathedral visitors had asked for a rosary to buy, or holy water or a bible, as a Narthex Greeter I brought this problem to our Council and the thought of a Rosary Ministry was decided upon, immediately and with enthusiasm!

Christ Church Cathedral’s Alongside Hope Committee with Jeremiah Mwangi as CCC’s Coordinator (a committee of 8, with 5 folks from Kenya), chose this Kenya Agricultural Women’s Partnership to focus on, as an educational fundraiser at CCC from September until November.

We will have a special Kenyan dessert/coffee gathering and presentation after the 10:30 AM servce on November 16, 2025.
