Moira Morgan, ODNW
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Moira Morgan, ODNW. Moira passed on the afternoon of Monday March 16th after a short infection due to complications from young-onset Alzheimer’s disease. She returned to the arms of God with deep peace, surrounded by her loving family. Moira was an incredible force for compassion and goodness in a world that needed it desperately. She served the world and the Church with courage, gentleness, and steadfastness for many years, offering both music and leadership from her human resources background. In retirement, she enjoyed travelling the world with her many friends and family members, delighting in new sights, sounds, and souls. She was a loving and devoted partner and mother, as well as an ardent auntie and soul friend to more people than we could ever name. Her family is thankful for the love and prayers of the faithful during her years-long battle with dementia. For the moment we ask for privacy as we navigate a world without our beautiful, powerful Moira. Condolences both physical and electronic can be received by the office at Christ Church Cathedral (reception@thecathedral.ca). A service will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, the date of which will be announced promptly. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of British Columbia are most appreciated. Please keep Ron, Clare (Paul), and Moira’s family and friends in your prayers. |
