Crafting a Welcome: Preparing Rosaries for Visitors to the Cathedral
The Anglican Rosary Ministry (ARM) began in June 2025 in response to requests from Christ Church Cathedral visitors. Did we sell rosaries? We started small but managed to build a stockpile sufficient to begin selling rosaries in the Narthex. The proceeds from the sales are reinvested back into the ministry to purchase the supplies necessary to make the rosaries. Members volunteer the time spent creating each piece. The ARM needs volunteers to help make rosaries for the Cathedral. Rosaries are for sale by donation in the Cathedral Narthex, Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. The ministry has space, supplies, and teachers ready to help anyone who would like to join the group and renew the rosary stockpile for sale during the busy tourist season and beyond! Rosary Ministry members meet once or twice a month in the Cathedral Park Room on a Saturday morning, 9:30am to 1pm. Members attend according to their availability. We would most gratefully welcome new members or donated, hand-made Anglican rosaries. To join us, please sign up here and select "Anglican Rosary Ministry (ARM)" from the list of ministries. Once you have registered, a member of the ARM will reach out to you with more information. |
