"In this wonderful Anglican faith tradition give thanks every Sunday when we celebrate Holy Communion, The Great Thanksgiving where Jesus humbly makes himself so small in this simple meal of bread and sip of wine and fills us with what
St Paul calls: God’s indescribable gift – the gift of surpassing grace.
Gratitude is not really an afterthought; it is the ultimate response of a creature recognizing the overflowing, undeserved gifts of the Creator. What makes those calling out for mercy truly well is not the physical healing alone – having good health – it is the turning to recognize and praise God with thanksgiving, It is in the re- turning to the relationship with the Generous Giver again and again that brings deep renewal.
Religious acts only take us so far, but relationship anchors, sustains, and
expands our capacity to carry the Living Presence to those in need."
