Welcome to Christ Church Cathedral. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, whomever you love, and regardless of what you may bring or are searching for, you are welcome here. As we navigate these uncertain times, we do so knowing that God has called us to extend love above all, as we seek to become a barrier-breaking community of reconciliation for the sake of this world that God so deeply loves.
As we say in our Cathedral vision statement,
We envision a Cathedral which is radically inclusive, restlessly inquisitive, intentional, and inspired. This is a place that is called to lead and to serve, in communion and in community, with healing, reconciliation, and love living out Christian mission. Together, we look to the power of Christ for the transformation of each person, this city, and the world.
I invite you to take a moment to find ways you feel called to connect with the community, to learn about our history of LGBTQ2+ inclusion, our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, the work of the Cathedral's Maundy Café for food justice and the many ways—in prayer, song, service, and community life—that we worship the triune God together.
Above all, my prayer for you is that you will find companions for the journey of faith, right here at Christ Church Cathedral. Together, my friends, may we pay attention to God's work in our midst, and be guided by the Holy Spirit in the journey towards the common good.
In Christ,
The Very Rev. Christopher A. Pappas, PhD, DMin
Dean and Rector
