Jeremy Smith

Biography

Jeremy joined the Cathedral in August of 2021 after several years in the tourism/hospitality industry. He grew up in the Lower Mainland and, although he's been lucky enough to travel to a number of places, he can't imagine living anywhere but Vancouver. Jeremy attended the University of British Columbia and graduated with a BA in Anthropology.

As an avid history lover, Jeremy is delighted to have the privilege of working in one of Vancouver’s Heritage buildings. Along with being a history buff, he also enjoys documentaries, fantasy and science fiction, good food (and trying new foods), video games, and has been a hockey fan for as long as he can remember.

What Jeremy Does at the Cathedral

As Events Coordinator he wrangles with the Cathedral's busy calendar, deals with event requests, facilitates event set up, and fields booking inquiries from a broad scope of clients, groups, and organizations that want to use the Cathedral's amazing space. Jeremy takes satisfaction in seeing a smile on a client’s face when their vision is met. He is excited to help bring people together after the long months apart.
