Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jenny Wong NAM studied sociology in Edmonton, and theology in Vancouver, Montreal, and New York.
In 1985, she was ordained at Christ Church Cathedral and subsequently served at St. Matthias (now St. Titus), St. Philip’s, and St. Chad’s. She later returned to Hong Kong to serve as Chaplain at St. Paul’s College (an Anglican school established in 1851) and as Principal of St. Stephen’s Girls’ College (est. 1906), during which time she was also Honorary Chaplain at St. John’s Cathedral.
During Covid, Jenny and her husband, Andy, returned to Vancouver for retirement. A self-described IT illiterate, she enjoys travelling, music, and watching re-runs of Inspector Morse and Poirot. Most of all, she loves celebrating the Eucharist and learning from the lives and teachings of mystics.
