Dear Christ Church friends, 

I am happy to introduce you to Shawn Bullock. He is a Vancouver School of Theology seminarian in the process for ordination in the Anglican Church of Canada. He is sponsored by St. Anselm's over by UBC. We are delighted to have him with us from September 2025—Jan 2026. Supporting the formation of clergy is one of the ways we live out our call as a church community. I look forward to our mutual learning journey. 

His first day with us will be Sun Sept 21st. He will be introduced and blessed at the 8 AM and 10:30 AM services.

Shawn's bio

Shawn Michael Bullock is a Postulant for the Priesthood in this Diocese and an MDiv/ThM student at VST. He has recently completed a placement with the Mission to Seafarers (pictured) and is looking forward to learning as a member of the Cathedral’s Community. Shawn began his career as a schoolteacher before becoming an academic, and was a full professor in the UK before returning to Vancouver in 2023. He is an avid reader, film enthusiast, and a lifelong practitioner of a variety of martial arts.
