How We Got Here
A few of the Cathedral lay ministries wanted to share some of the books they have been reading and collecting. Instead of these books sitting in our storage bins or on our shelves at home, we wanted to share them.
Where Is It?
Downstairs, where the three hallways intersect outside the office, there is a door with a glass window. The sign on the door announces what is inside.
What You Will See If You Go Inside
As you explore the shelves, you will find books on Healing, Climate Action, Truth & Reconciliation, and Spirituality, all relevant to the work of our lay ministries.
How Does It Work?
You are invited to sit and read there. If you want to borrow a book, we ask that you put your name, the date, the book title, and your email address in our logbook. Borrowed books can be on loan for up to one month. Please return them to the “returned books here” shelf.
If You Want To Donate Books
The team looking after the collection welcomes donated books on the topics stated above. If you have titles you want to donate, there will be a “donations here” shelf in the room. With your donation, leave your name and contact information. If your donation is accepted, you will be notified. If not, it will be returned to you.
