The Province's chief medical officer has announced that outdoor worship services with up to 50 people will be allowed in British Columbia, and for a short period, limited indoor worship will be allowed. COVID-19 safety protocols - contact tracing, health asessments, physical distancing and masks - will be required for all services.

Bishop John Stephens has issued a letter granting permissing to parishes in the Diocese of New Westminster to hold outdoor worship services. The bishop is not giving permission to hold indoor worship until April 11, if not later. This is to ensure enough time for parishes to create and submit safety plans for diocesan approval.

Dean Christopher A. Pappas and Cathedral clergy are currenlty involved in exploring how the Cathedral might be able to offer outdoor services and what those services might look like. Because of the logistics that need to be taken into consideration, Cathedral clergy expect to release details about outdoor services after Easter.

Details of any outdoor services will be shared online, in the Cathedral newsletter, website, and announcements at parish events.
