Dr. Bonnie Henry announced that effective July 1, British Columbia is lifting many of the Covid - 19 safety protocols that have been in place in some form or another since the pandemic began. This includes many of the limitations on in-person worship. The Diocese of New Westminster is, however, maintaining some safety protocols for the time being.

What will this Sunday look like?

Beginning Sunday, July 4 you can chose to attend one of these services in-person, on-site.

8am - Holy Communion

10:30am - Sung Eucharist

1pm - Sung Eucharist

  • Preregistration and contact tracing will NOT be required
  • Some physical distancing will still be maintained
  • The church will be operating at less than full capacity in order to maintain some physical distancing
  • Communion will be distributed in bread form only
  • Congregational singing will be permitted

Further details will be released by the Diocese by Friday, July 2.

We will provide updates and further clarification as soon as they are available.

For many people, being able to come to the Cathedral for in-person Sunday worship is a moment of joy and anticipation. For some, the idea of being in a large group again - even after being vaccinated -may not be such an exciting idea. No one is obligated to return to in-person worship if they do not yet feel ready to do so.

The 10:30am Eucharist and the 8pm Compline service will continue to be livestreamed at thecathedral.ca/zoom

The 5:30pm Evening Prayer service will continue to take place on Zoom for another two weeks. Email Marnie for the Zoom link.
