Sermon starts at 34:13.
The work of the preacher in the pulpit is always and ever to proclaim the liberation of all people accomplished in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. What happens however in our communities when discord and division fester because of gossip, envy and malice? What happens when the clear proclamation of liberation in the gospel is diminished because of the sinful behaviour of some in the body of Christ? Jesus' instruction in today's gospel seems pretty decisive on the matter...or does it?
