Christ Church Cathedral is seeking a custodian to join the Building Services team.

Christ Church Cathedral is a diverse, progressive, intergenerational and LGBTQIA/2S affirming church within the Anglican tradition. In addition to our Church Worship Services, we regularly host performances of all types; from Classical and Sacred Music to Rock and Metal, Spoken Word, Literary Readings, and so much more. What sets Cathedral performances apart is that we are one of the city's most beautiful and acoustically rich venues. The Cathedral is also home to a growing food outreach program, harnessing the power of good food to build community and belonging.

-Basic maintenance and repairs of the building and grounds including: replacing burnt out bulbs, identifying furniture, equipment, fixtures and facilities needing repair, and caring for the physical home of the Cathedral.

-Help to present a welcoming, safe, and secure worship home for parishioners, visitors, Cathedral staff and clergy by ensuring rooms and buildings are physically secure, ensuring rooms and equipment are appropriately locked and keys controlled, identifying and reporting any suspicious activity to the Building Administrator or the Dean, and taking due precautions to ensure personal safety and security by adhering to Cathedral policies of material and equipment handling, workplace procedures, and other practices as appropriate.
