Join acclaimed Canadian authors Elizabeth Haynes and Margaret Macpherson as they read from their most recent works and discuss the sometimes nebulous line they walk when creating stories based on real life.... Fiction and Reality.
Elizabeth Haynes combines her passion for writing and a lifelong case of wanderlust, resulting in a body of work that encompasses memoir, fiction and poetry, as she continues to explore the globe. Her award-winning work has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, most recently You Look Good For Your Age (University of Alberta Press). Her first novel, The Errant Husband, was published in 2021 (Radiant Press), and she served as writer in residence for the Calgary Public Library in 2023. She lives in Calgary.
Margaret Macpherson is a writer originally from the Northwest Territories. She has worked as an essayist and journalist in Atlantic Canada, Bermuda, Vancouver, and Edmonton. Her eight published books include Tracking the Caribou Queen, Body Trade, Released, and Perilous Departures, each of which has been singled out for awards and commendations. She lives in Deep River, Ontario.
