Deacon Juanita Clark to serve at Cathedral worship

I am pleased to announce that the Rev Juanita Clark, who is licensed at Vancouver General Hospital, will join the rotation of Deacons (non-stipendiary) serving at the altar at the Cathedral.

Deacon Juanita Clark is a cradle Anglican and a vocational Deacon ordained in 2018 (Diocese of New Westminster).  She completed her Internship at St James (Vancouver); and her Certificate of Theological Studies at the Vancouver School of Theology.  She served her first two years in the parish of St. John’s (North Vancouver); then, following a call to pastoral care, she has served under Chaplain Bryan Rivers (VGH) for the past 4 years.  Juanita is currently completing a second Unit of Clinical Pastoral Care at VGH; a 6-month Internship in Long-term care (North Vancouver); and, is a member of Lion’s Gate Hospital's on-call team of Spiritual Care Practitioners.  As a contemplative, Juanita feels very privileged to be a vowed member of the Benedictine Canon Community of St Aidan’s; and, to occasionally Preside at the Cathedral's Compline Service.
